Cast and crew behind the scenes.

A sneak peek at Constant Hum production

Over the course of three-and-a-half days the week before Thanksgiving 2025, the cast and crew of Constant Hum took to the streets, alleys, parking lots, strip malls and abandoned lots of downtown and central Las Vegas to film the bulk of footage for our little short film.

Behind the scenes with the crew and cast

Our talented and diverse creatives arrived on set before sunrise and worked long into the chilly nights. We endured set-threatening winds, disruptive road construction, uncooperative props, dying light batteries and flying beer cans. We escaped mostly unscathed, save for a minor burn, spilled beer and lost sleep.

We also met some of our unhoused community members, getting to know some of their stories, and sharing food, beverages and supplies with them. They were curious and respectful of us coming into their world and were invited to hang out to watch the team in action.

None of this would have been possible without the support of many different people, including (but not limited to) Kat at Moonlit Magic, who graciously welcomed our team to use her amazing metaphysical crystal shop and healing studios for several hours; Assistant Principal Tiffany Amaro and the administration of Frederick Watson Elementary School, who opened up the campus to us on a weekend; and the folks at DTP Companies, who helped secure our primary location at the last minute.

As we move into post-production, we’re also grateful to the generous supporters who have contributed financially to the making of this film, including Jason Feinberg, Theresa Goldston, Brett Levner and Ross Loehner. If you’d like to join that community to help us finish this special project, learn more about how you can participate.
